CSE concludes 5-day training on financial derivatives


DHAKA, JUNE 9, 2008: In a bid to sensitise capital market operators with the products of derivative market, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) concludes its 5-day certification course on Financial Derivatives that began on 5th June, 2008 at BRAC Centre Inn Dhaka.

The Training has been organised jointly by CSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India where the employees of the Brokerage and financial Institutions were attended.

Mr. Amalendu Mukherjee, Joint Secretary, Finance Division- Banking Policy Ministry of Finance was the Chief Guest of the Certification awarding ceremony.

Mr. Ramakrishna Srinivas Lyengar of National Stock Exchange of India, an expert on financial derivatives instruments, which became popular in the bourses of the foreign countries as a risk management tool, conducted the training course. A total 45 participants were taking part in the course.

Among CSE Directors CSE Vice President Mr. Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed, CSE’s immediate past President Mr. MKM Mohiuddin, Mr. Mohammed Fakruddin and CEO of CSE Mr. A B Siddique were present in the closing session.
