He further added that Bangladesh now has a GDP size of over $62.25 billion, which is larger than that of Romania , Morocco or Ukraine . Its domestic savings to GDP ratio of 20.3% and national savings to GDP ratio of 26.6%, and an investment to GDP ratio of 24.97% where the public investment constitutes 6.30% and private investment the rest 18.67%. Though the ratios are below most developed nations, these are nonetheless quite high compared to many developing economies. And this indicates a better potential for investment scenario in the country.

Though governments time to time tried their best to attract the private companies to turn their enterprises into public limited and get listed to reap benefits and avail incentives offered time to time, on average only 10-12 public limited companies have been joining the market, and a large section of which is under regulatory compulsion.
