CSE holds Press Conference at Sylhet

Sylhet, March 27, 2008: Chittagong Stock Exchange has organized a Press Conference today at the Sylhet Press Club to make interaction with the local journalists community about the CSE Capital Fair 2008 that scheduled to held on tomorrow at Hafiz Complex, Sylhet.

The second two-day CSE Capital Fair 2008 will be formally inaugurated by the Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission Mr. Faruq Ahmad Siddiqi at 4.00 p.m.

Mr. Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, President, Chittagong Stock Exchange while addressing to the media said, “CSE has been relentlessly endeavoring to create awareness among the general investors at different cities in the country on our Bangladesh Capital Market so that this investment segment will be popularized.” He further said, “Capital Market Fair at Sylhet will bring enthusiasm among the Sylhet based investors that ultimately increase CSE trade volume”.

Mr. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, Vice President of CSE said, “We need cooperation from our Journalists friends to make popular our Capital Market Fair through their news coverage.”

Mr. Siddiqur Rahman, Director of CSE said, “A good number of investors are rising day by day in Sylhet. We should take more different awareness program for the fresh investors so that their analytical skill is developed.”

Mr. AB Siddique, CEO, CSE and Mr. Mohibur Rahman, Member CSE were also present at the Press Conference.

The two-day CSE Capital Market Fair 2008 at Sylhet will be opened tomorrow on 28th March, 2008 at local community centre Hafiz Complex, Syleht at 4.00 p.m and continue to next day upto 5.00 p.m.

A total of 22 (twenty two) financial institutions are participating in the fair. They are: AB Bank Ltd-Investment Banking Division, Lankabangla Securities Ltd., Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd., IDLC Finance Ltd., Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Prime Bank Ltd, Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd., National Credit & Commerce Bank Ltd., Eastern Bank Ltd., Sylhet Metro City Securities Ltd., Sylhet Securities Ltd., Hillcity Securities Ltd., S.R. Capital Ltd., ZATL Securities Ltd., Holy City Securities Ltd., International Securities Co. Ltd, Jalalabad Securities Ltd., Firstlead Securities Ltd.
