SEC CSE organized Training Program for the Members’ Authorized Representatives


Chittagong, February 19, 2008: Securities and Exchange Commission and Chittagong Stock Exchange have jointly organized a training program for the Members’ Authorized Representatives on different topics of Bangladesh Capital Market. The training is mandatory for the Authorized Representatives in order to obtain Registration Certificate issued by the SEC to work with the Brokerage operations.

Mr. Anwarul Kabir Bhuiyan and Mr. Farhad Ahmed Executive Directors of the regulatory body Securities and Exchange Commission spoke in the training on “Types of Securities, Capital Market Regulatory Framework, Securities Market intermediaries, and Public issue of Securities, Mutual Fund, Central Depository System, and Surveillance System of SEC”.

organized by SEC and CSE for the CSE Members' Authorized Representatives

The training will be continued for tomorrow and the topics will be covered on “How to read Financial Statements, Record keeping of Broker/Dealer, Enforcement actions and appeal, Trading System of CSE and associated Rules and Regulations, Settlement System of Securities and associated Rules and CDBL operations.” Mr. Hasan Mahmud Director of SEC, Mr. Mortuza Alam and Mr. Mohammad Monirul Haque Deputy Managers of CSE will be next speakers on tomorrow.


Mr. Atiquzzaman, General Manager of CSE made his opening remarks in the training session while Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam Deputy Manager of Corporate Development was also present in the opening session.
