Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) as a pioneer exchange of the country from its inception always monitor on the market so that every brokers of CSE maintain good governance and compliance issues, said First Vice President of CSE Mr. Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury while speaking as Chief Guest at a jointly organized seminar by CSE and Independent University Bangladesh at Chittagong University campus. The seminar topic was “ Risk of Investment in Share Market: A Pros and Corns Analysis.”
He said, CSE is accountable to aware the next generation about our Capital Market. They are our future, will lead the nation and bring prosperity for the people. If we guide them properly, inspire them to participate in our economy as an entrepreneur, obviously we will see bright future in the days to come, he added.
He requested the students to take share business as profession in their career, which is citing at India, Pakistan, and Thailand and in many countries. He said, theoretical knowledge about capital market that the students are learning from their University would be effective if they are involved with share market or continuously updated with recent changing in securities industry.
Professor Syed Sufderul Huq, Co-ordinator and CEO of IUB, Chittagong Campus said, we attend seminars, learn new things, but some how rather we don’t implement, and this is very unfortunate for our people. He requested students to take lesson from Stock Market, and said this lesson may not be use at present but useful in their future life.
He underscored in arranging regular awareness program on Bangladesh Capital Market by CSE, DSE or SEC for educational institutions and different professionals. He urged education ministry’s attention to make compulsory curriculum about capital market in the higher education. He said, in our neighboring countries students can learn about their capital market from their secondary level while in Bangladesh it is absent.
He also said, if we could not produce our next generation as an investor or entrepreneur the vacuum of industrialization or employment generation in the country will never be fulfilled.
Enthusiastic students raised different questions on Bangladesh Capital Market while an elaborate presentation on the topic visualized by Mr. Golam Rabban Chowdhury GM Corporate Development and Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam, Deputy Manager Corporate Development.
